Curriculum

Here at Mimiz Kids education is taken very seriously. Your children fuel the curriculum taught, with their questions and emerging skills. Our curriculum is very hands on and self-paced. The world is theirs and we're here to guide them. Using books, knowledge, life experiences, and a curriculum aid we ensure that your children learn the best way possible for them.

When children exhibit challenging behavior in our classrooms, our teachers are prepared to create a development opportunity and engage children with positive learning experiences, through research-based methods and strategies to learn self regulation and emotional intelligence.

Art

Sculpting, painting, acting, Art has many names and they're all meant to show your true emotions. Express yourself loud and proud as we expand the art world into engineering practices.

Music

Everyone has that one song inside them that they have to let out, lets make a band and rock out together!

Movement

We all get the jitters and start to feel silly, come with us and dance and exercise them all out!

Language

Communication is key!! Together we can dive in and learn sign language and many other different languages and ways to express ourselves. It's very important to know how to communicate with everyone.

Life Skills

Children learn the basics of life all day everyday. We want them to showcase that knowledge in fun activities in a self-paced hands on curriculum. Therefore we will teach money management, mechanical engineering, detail drawing and more!

Are the toys regularly cleaned and sanitized? How about the space?

Hygiene and sanitation are highly important to us, and we know to you too especially during these crazy times. Thats why we set up hourly wipe downs and clean up.
What's the caretaker-to-child ratio?

Following state law we are allowed 12 kids per 1 teacher.
What supplies should I provide for my child?

Every child is unique in their own special way, and they also have unique needs, while we will provide the basics that every child would need, we ask that you bring in a change of clothes and if your child has a special snack they like or if they need a certain brand of diapers and wipes, you bring those in to us labeled with your child's name and date. They will be put up in a safe location.
What is your approach to discipline?

We have developed a color strike policy, once a child has reached a red card a conversation will be held with the parent at the end of the day. If behavior is continued a meeting with the parent will be arranged. If after the meeting said child is still causing issues, we may ask for the removal of the child in question.
What protocol do you follow when a child is sick or injured?

We ask that if you know your child is sick, please keep them home. If your child gets sick while in our care, we will notify the parent to see how to proceed. If your child is required to take specific medications, we ask that you make that known upon arrival and to provide the proper medications.
